We believe that every person is made in the image of God and Jesus commanded us to love our neighbour as ourselves. As a benefice we are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Benefice Safeguarding Officer (details to the right). The Diocese of St. Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages (here) contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) (see right) . If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
Our safeguarding policy can be found here, and our statement of safeguarding can be found here.
A form for recording safeguarding concerns can be found here. This must be passed to the safeguarding officer or Rector.
